(T) How Do I Join! Getting involved is simple! The more you participate, the more you and your child will benefit. Each member pays annual dues of $10. Your dues entitle you to the monthly newsletter, meetings, and email discussion list. You can join during a monthly meeting or by contacting the VP of Membership, Leslie Migala. (T) Do I have to be a resident of Cedar Hill or Duncanville to be a member of CHDECPTA? No, We have members from Cedar Hill, Duncanville and all of our surrounding areas. (T) Do I have to be a CHDECPTA member to participate in the activities? No, we invite anyone interested in our organization and the welfare of children to attend our meetings or social events. Members are eligible to vote, and receive newsletters and phone calls about our events. (T) I am a grandparent raising my grandchild. Do I have to be a parent to be a member of your organization? No, our organization is for anyone interested in the welfare of children in our community. We are parents, grandparents, childcare providers, teachers and friends. (T) Can I bring my child to the monthly meetings? Of course! If you have a young child that you cannot leave at home, they are welcome to attend. However, please be advised that there will be no childcare provided during the meeting.
